Jeremiah was a good boy this year, so Santa left him some presents under the tree. It was so much fun watching him get excited over every gift. My mom and sister drove up to see what he got and made it in time to see him open some of his gifts. We had a late night visiting at my Nannie's house, so he slept later than usual.

It's All About Elmo!!
For about the past four months or so, it has been all about Elmo around our house. It all started when we would watch Seasame Street every morning and he fell in love with Elmo's World. I can honestly say that I prefer Elmo over some of the other characters children his age like to watch. With all his love for Elmo, he got a couple (or maybe a bunch) of Elmo things for Christmas. My sister bought him some Elmo pajamas and my mom altered them to fit him. I think he is just too cute in them!!
Christmas with the Grandparents
I think the pictures will speak for themselves. Jeremiah had a great time at both houses and received lots of great stuff. We have enjoyed the excitement from him over each gift that he opened even if he thought it was just a box.

Illinois Trip and ***Snow***
We were able to make another trip with Robert to Edwardsville, IL to fill in at Little Flock PBC where they do not have a pastor. We enjoyed the ride up there and visiting with the sweet church family. We traveled up on Friday, Robert preached on Saturday night, we woke up to snow on Sunday morning and drove in falling snow to church on Sunday morning. It was strange seeing snow plows all around town while we were on the way to church. We weren't able to get play in the snow since Jeremiah was having surgery the next day and it was still coming down hard when we left on Sunday afternoon.

This is the first time we have put up the Christmas tree since Jeremiah was born. The first year we spent Christmas on the road and the second year he was in the hospital in December. He had a great time being able to help us decorate the tree. I had saved some ornaments from my grandmothers, which are styrofoam balls covered in silk, so we didn't have to worry about him breaking one and cutting himself.
This is a picture of him before surgery.

Texas Visit
It was a long trip, but it was worth the peace of mind. We went to Houston, TX to take Jeremiah to a dysplasia specialist to discuss his growth, development and medical history. Overall, the doctor was pleased with how he was doing on all levels. He did suggest that we find a pediatric pulmonary specialist for Jeremiah to monitor his lung development and capacity. He was hospitalized three times last year with low blood oxygen levels and the doctors were never able to pinpoint was caused this problem. He also noted during the physical exam that his chest was smaller than the average Achon. child. We will return to see Dr. Bichino once a year, so he can monitor his growth and development. I am just glad to have him as resource that I can call or email with questions that are sometimes not answered by our pediatrician.
**** We have canceled his tonsil and adenoid procedure for now. We are going to a pediatric ENT next week to get a second opinion and possibily have him do the procedure. I will update once we have more information and a plan.****
With all this said, we are very blessed to have a happy, healthy child that never meets a stranger. I've posted some pictures that we took at a Texas sign on the side of the road. Hope you have a great week!
