Birmingham, AL ~ Zoo Visit

I can say that we had a wonderful time in Birmingham. We were able to go to the zoo on Saturday afternoon, Mellow mushroom (pizza place that serves gluten free pizza that Robert can eat) and enjoyed two wonderful church services on Sunday. The highlight of our zoo visit was being able to feed the giraffes. I was surprised that Jeremiah didn't get scared and let the giraffe eat right out of his hand. Each time we visit a big city, I try to do my research and find a restaurant that has a gluten free menu. This time I found a pizza place and Robert loved every slice of it. We make homemade pizzas at home, but it is just not like getting one at a restaurant. On Sunday, Robert was blessed to fill in for Bro. John at Ebeneezer and after lunch we attended the afternoon service at Vestavia. This was our first time to visit these churches, so it was wonderful meeting more sweet PB church families. We are glad to be back home and have a busy week ahead with therapy sessions, doctor appointments and swimming lessons. Hope you enjoy the pictures and have a blessed week!

They are such beautiful creatures.

This was the first time the giraffe on the far left ever came up to the platform. The trainer was so excited because this was a big step for him. He is the youngest giraffe and new to the zoo.
