An Afternoon at the Park

I know that this may sound bad, but today was my son's first visit to the city park. We were at a church meeting this morning and decided to go this afternoon since the weather was nice. There are many reasons why we haven't taken him before now, but the main one is he couldn't walk. However, after the fun we had today, we will be making more trips to the park. He had a great time and loved seeing all the other children there playing and having a good time. I don't know if he really had a favorite thing, but he did love everything that we were able to do today.

I loved how the park had a whole swing set dedicated to toddler swings.
He looks like he is up to something in this picture,
but he just didn't want to take his eyes off the other kids.
I had to take a picture of this to show him when he is older. He hates to get dirty and is cleaning off his hands. Robert and I were laughing so hard, because each time he tried to get up his hands would get dirty again. He would get so mad and clean them off again and again.

This is our next goal now that he is walking by himself.
We are working on climbing stairs with help.
I was impressed with how well he did today on the tall stairs.

He loves to slide!

Grandma and Aunt Jennifer came to see Jeremiah swim at Maleys.
I know I haven't posted much about his swimming lately, but he is still progressing and loving it.

Magic House ~ Snow! ~ Illinois

We were able to travel with Robert to Illinois for a preaching appointment this past weekend. On the way Friday, we stopped in St. Louis to eat and take Jeremiah to the Magic House. The Magic House is a children's museum that offers a lot of hands on activities for kids. He had a great time at the exhibits that were age appropriate for him, but it was just a little too crowded. We went on a Friday night that was free and the kids were out of school for snow, so you can only expect it to be a packed place.
This is a picture of our great traveler starting out on his third trip to Illinois.

Jeremiah and dad fishing at the pond in the museum.

Jeremiah showing off what he caught in the pond. He loved
releasing it in the other pond and watching it travel downstream.

He loved the water table!!

The chalk board was a big hit too since he is into writing.

Ok, I have now lost count of how many times my child has seen snow in his lifetime. They received about five inches or more of snow on Thursday before we arrived in town. Robert and I loved seeing all the snow while we traveled to Illinois and back home on Sunday. We tried to get Jeremiah just to play in the snow a little on Saturday afternoon and he refused to even put his foot in it. Robert is hoping that one day Jeremiah will want to play in the snow with him. The church is located in Edwardsville, IL and they received about twelve inches of snow. In my lifetime, that is the first time I have seen that much snow. We were going to take some pictures after church, but it started snowing again and the wind was blowing hard.

Just to show how thick the snow was at the Reynolds' house
