Taking Steps

I wanted to load these two videos before we left for Florida this weekend. I hope that you enjoy them! I am also posting a picture of him eating his first sucker. We went to get his flu shot yesterday and he got a sucker from the doctor's office.

Pumpkins ~ Stings ~ Reunion ~ Church

It's so hard to believe that October is almost over and November will be here next week. We had a fun filled weekend and just wanted to share some pictures. I had my 10 year high school reunion, so we stayed in Brookhaven Friday night. On Saturday, we took Jeremiah to the pumpkin patch and he had a blast until the wagon ride. We had just gotten onto the wagon and started touring the farm. He was loving it and all of a sudden he started crying. It took us a minute to realize what had happened, but he got stung by a yellow jacket on the nose. It was a little scary at first because his sinus area and eyes were swollen, but it went down quickly. He was such a big boy and and enjoyed the rest of the wagon ride.

He enjoyed helping daddy pump water.

They are posing by the Preschool maze...we didn't attempt the large maze.

My little scarecrow

He loved the pool of corn!

I loved the fields of Sunflowers!!

Reading his "paper" on the way to church Sunday

As you can see from the pictures, we had a great time and looking forward to taking him again next year. I highly recommend Mitchell farms in Collins, MS. We will be heading to Crestview, Fl this weekend to fill in for Bro. James Conley and looking forward to seeing that sweet church family again. I'm sure we'll have more pictures to share next week.

October Fun

We have kicked off October with our first busy weekend of the month. If we survive this month, we will probably hibernate the month of November. We headed out on Friday to the Good Hope Association in Laurel. On Saturday, Jeremiah and I attended the Ole Brook festival, Sister Berryhill's 90th birthday party and played with family. On Sunday, we attended church and went to eat with Jeremiah's grandfather, Ken, for his birthday. I have posted some pictures below from our weekend...I hope you enjoy them!

"Riding" a bike at my parents' house. Thanks grandma for pushing me around the carport a hundred times just to make me smile!!

Did you know that October is also National Dwarfism awareness month? With Jeremiah and I both having Achondroplasia dwarfism, the most common type, I thought I would close with a few facts. Eighty percent of children with dwarfism have two average size parents. My parents are both average size and raised me just like their other three children. Robert and I knew there was a fifty percent chance of having a child with dwarfism, but that didn't matter to us. We feel blessed that God created Jeremiah just for us and wouldn't have him any other way. Jeremiah has taught us some much in just these two short years and we are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for him.
