St. Louis and Chicago

We have made it home safely from our trip to Edwardsville, IL and Chicago, IL. Jeremiah and I traveled with Robert to fill in at the church in Edwardsville. We were able to stay with the Lewis family. We arrived on Friday afternoon and we where able to travel to St. Louis on Saturday morning to visit the Arch and eat at the Spaghetti Factory. We loved going up in the Arch and viewing the beautiful city. Robert loved the Spaghetti factory because they had a gluten free menu. He could order from it because they used the same gluten free pasta we use at home. Jeremiah loved the Spaghetti factory because he loves spaghetti!!

This is a view of the arch while we were entering the city.
You don't realize how large it really is until you stand under it.

Jeremiah is looking out the window at the top viewing St. Louis.

Robert was blessed to preach a good sermon on Saturday night and on Sunday morning. We enjoyed visiting with the church family. It is so good to know that no matter how far you travel, you always feel at home in a Primitive Baptist church. We left for Chicago after church and arrived that night at our hotel. On Monday, we visited the Field museum and Shedd Aquarium. On Tuesday, we looked out the Skydeck at Willis (Sears) Tower, visited the Hershey Store, Navy Pier and watched the light show at the Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park. We had a great time and Jeremiah was such a trooper through the whole trip. He loved watching the monkeys and penguins play at the Shedd Aquarium, eating a cookie from the Hershey store, making Max the Monkey at Build-a-Bear on Navy Pier, and watching the light show at the fountain. I will have to say that he fell asleep at the Field Museum, so it did not really keep his attention. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our vacation.

Jeremiah crawling onto the ledge at the Skydeck.
The ledge pokes out from the building, so it
feels like you are standing directly above the streets.

Hershey Store --- Lots of Chocolate

Can you see the chocolate on his face? He enjoyed the
cookie from the Hershey store.

We made this Monkey (Max) at Build-a-Bear and he loves it!!
